Release Notes

What’s New.

The latest changes to Helix Forge, newest first.

Version 1.0.81 — September 29, 2026

Covers everything since version 1.0.74. If you run Helix Forge in Server mode, update the server machine first, then your Client computers. Back up your database before updating (Settings → Database → Export).

New

  • Tutorials. A new Tutorials page in the sidebar, with a how-to video for every main section: Bid Board, Projects, Scheduling, Pricing, Contacts, Analytics, Network, and Settings. Videos play right inside the app.
  • Change orders on projects. Log each change order with a name, amount, submitted date, and Pending / Approved / Denied status. Project Detail shows a running total on top of the original contract value.
  • Change orders in Analytics. A new KPI tile shows change order revenue, next to a Total Revenue tile (won bids plus change orders). Revenue won stays as it was.
  • Recurring Pay Apps Due. Set a project to repeat monthly on a chosen day, then roll the due date forward with one click.
  • Attachment counts. Bid Board and Projects now show a paperclip with the number of attached documents, and the column can be reordered like any other.
  • Email activity log. Sending a bid email or emailing job details to a crew now records an entry in the bid or project activity feed.

Improved

  • Crew emails now include the project ZIP code and a Google Maps directions link.
  • The CO Approval column on Projects can now be reordered like the other columns.
  • Scheduling columns can be reordered and resized, and the layout is remembered.
  • Settings now shows Display options (window close behavior, font size) above Company.
  • The Resources page shows bidding portals for your state where we have a verified link, and a search link otherwise. The industry associations list grew from 6 to 16.

Fixed

  • Double-clicking the desktop icon while Helix Forge is minimized to the tray now brings the existing window forward instead of launching a second copy.
  • The Bid Board attachment column showed a dash even when documents were attached. It now shows the real count.
  • The Analytics Revenue by Sector chart no longer lists sectors that have no won revenue.
